OKLAHOMA CITY – On April 7th 2011, Otologic Pharmaceutics, Inc. (OPI) has been recognized by the Journal Record as the ‘’Innovator of the Year’’ during the 14th annual Innovator of the year awards dinner.
The award recognized OPI as an innovative spirit of the State of Oklahoma. OPI is currently developing new technology in the field of hearing health. With 26 million Americans who experience hearing loss, OPI is focused exclusively on developing safe and effective therapeutic solutions for hearing health. It has a strong research and management team that continues to work every day to discover solutions to cure hearing loss and other hearing-related disorders.
Last year OPI received the ‘’On the Brink Award’’ from the Journal Record honoring a concept that is just about to take off. The 2011 distinction is an important recognition of the scientific and business development work accomplished during this year by the OPI team around its CEO and Chairman, David Karlman. OTOLOGIC PHARMACEUTICS, INC., CLOSES FINANCING ROUND AND CONTINUES TO MAKE ADVANCEMENTS IN THERAPIES TO CURE HEARING LOSS
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK. Otologic Pharmaceutics, Inc (OPI) announced today the successful close of a financing round that will help advance the company's hearing health technologies. The financing round lead by OCAST; Technology Business Finance Program and managed by i2E, Inc., included participation from INTEGRIS Health and the Oklahoma Medical Foundation (OMRF).
In a statement issued by David Karlman, Otologic Pharmaceutics, Inc., CEO "This capital commitment represents a seminal milestone in advancing our mission to commercialize therapeutics for hearing health. The resources are now aligned to continue building our business so that the team of nationally and internationally recognized inner ear medicine experts, world-class biomedical research scientists and proven business leaders can introduce safe and effective solutions for hearing health based on our portfolio of 19 patents we have in-licensed."
